Job Title: Information Technology Officer

Reports To: IT Manager / Head of Department
Job Summary:
The Information Technology Officer is responsible for managing and supporting the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and software applications. The officer provides technical support to staff, maintains data security, and implements new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system and network issues.
Monitor system performance and implement upgrades when necessary.
Ensure data security through regular backups, antivirus updates, and access controls.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and IT-related documentation.
Assist in developing and enforcing IT policies and best practices.
Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT equipment and services.
Support the implementation of new IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.
Train staff on the effective use of IT systems and software.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in IT support, network administration, or systems management.
Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Familiarity with database management, cybersecurity principles, and cloud technologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
