A. JOB SUMMARY
To safeguard the Institute’s property, staff, students, and visitors by maintaining a secure and orderly environment through vigilant patrol, access control, and incident reporting.
B. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Guard the Institute’s premises, buildings, workshops, and equipment against theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
• Control the entry and exit of persons and vehicles at the gate.
• Conduct regular patrols and monitor security cameras (if available).
• Write detailed incident and occurrence book reports.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
• Ensure compliance with fire and safety regulations on the premises.
• Provide a courteous and helpful first point of contact for visitors.
C. REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT
1. Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade D (Plain) and above.
2. A valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
3. Basic security training from a recognized institution (e.g., Kenya Police, National Youth Service, or private security firm).
4. At least two (2) years of proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an educational institution.
5. Physically fit, honest, and of high integrity.
