Sports Manager – Private Academy, Joska (Machakos County)

Our client, a renowned and fast-growing private academy based in Joska, Machakos County, is seeking to recruit a dynamic and energetic Sports Manager to lead and elevate the school’s sports and physical education programs. The school has a strong focus on holistic development and values physical fitness, talent nurturing, and discipline alongside academic excellence.
This role is ideal for a passionate and organized individual who is ready to create and manage a thriving co-curricular sports environment in a high-potential school.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a structured sports and physical education program aligned with the school’s academic calendar.
• Coordinate and oversee all sports activities, inter-school competitions, training schedules, and school tournaments.
• Identify, nurture, and manage student sports talent across various disciplines (e.g., football, athletics, volleyball, basketball).
• Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of all sports equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with academic staff to promote holistic student wellness and performance.
• Organize internal school events such as sports days, house competitions, and team-building activities.
• Ensure discipline, safety, and inclusivity in all sports-related activities.

Key Qualifications & Experience
• A Diploma or Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, Sports Management, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience coordinating school sports programs, preferably in a well-established private school or academy.
• Experience managing multiple sports teams and leading students in inter-school competitions.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage large groups of learners.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Certification in First Aid, coaching, or sports safety will be an added advantage.
• Must demonstrate high energy, integrity, and a passion for youth development through sports.
