We are recruiting skilled and driven professionals for the position of Trade Finance Officer on behalf of our client, a growing financial institution with operations in Nairobi and Mombasa.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with solid trade finance experience looking to grow their careers in a dynamic financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Achieve monthly individual sales targets to drive business growth.
• Identify new business opportunities and secure high-quality client leads.
• Sell and manage trade finance products including Letters of Credit and Bank Guarantees.
• Deliver customized trade finance solutions tailored to client needs.
• Conduct due diligence including client and account appraisals.
• Maintain up-to-date records of all issued guarantees and prepare periodic reports.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in trade documentation and processing.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.
• Ensure proper revenue tracking including excise duty charges.
• Support digital adoption and continuous improvement in trade operations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Turnaround time and accuracy of trade transactions
• Growth in trade finance revenue and client base
• Compliance with KYC/AML regulations
• Reduction in trade-related risks and non-performing assets
• Adoption of digital trade platforms and cost-effective processes
• Client satisfaction and retention metrics

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Economics, or Business Administration.
• Experience: 3–5 years as a Trade Finance Officer or similar role.

Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in trade finance products and regulations
o Strong financial analysis and risk assessment abilities
o Experience with trade finance software platforms

Soft Skills:

o Detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-driven
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders

• Nairobi Office
• Mombasa Office
