Job Opportunity: Insurance Team Leader
Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Insurance Team Leader to oversee a dynamic team of insurance professionals. This position is ideal for a proactive leader with strong business acumen, excellent people skills, and a passion for driving performance and service excellence.
About the Role
As the Insurance Team Leader, you will guide and motivate a team of insurance agents, brokers, or customer service representatives to meet key performance goals. You’ll ensure efficient operations, adherence to regulatory standards, and exceptional client service while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, coach, and develop a team to achieve sales, service, and operational KPIs.
• Monitor daily workflows to ensure smooth, efficient team performance.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training for new team members.
• Set and track performance objectives while providing continuous feedback.
• Handle escalated client issues with professionalism and prompt resolution.
• Ensure team compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with internal departments to improve efficiency and client experience.
• Support business growth through cross-selling and up-selling insurance products.
Qualifications and Experience
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within the insurance industry.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Diploma holders with proven experience will also be considered).
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills.
o In-depth knowledge of insurance products and regulatory requirements.
o Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
o Customer-focused mindset with strong service orientation.
o Proficiency in insurance management systems and CRM tools.
o Sales or claims management background is an added advantage.
