Job Opportunity: 3 Trade Finance Officers

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Employment Type: Full-time

Our client, a reputable and established Microfinance Company, is seeking three (3) experienced Trade Finance Officers to join their Nairobi team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in trade finance products and proven experience working with contractors as the primary target market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and sell the company’s trade finance products, including:
o Bid Bonds
o Performance Bonds
o Advance Guarantees
o Retention Bonds
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders.
• Identify new business opportunities within the construction and infrastructure sectors.
• Assess client requirements, prepare proposals, and process applications in line with company policy.
• Ensure timely issuance and management of trade finance instruments.
• Monitor product performance and maintain accurate client records.
• Stay updated on market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive offerings.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in trade finance products—specifically bid bonds, performance bonds, advance guarantees, and retention bonds.
• Solid network and experience working directly with contractors.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
