Job Opportunity: Accountant

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Our client in the interior design and furnishings industry is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting management with financial insights.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong accounting knowledge, integrity, and attention to detail, who is eager to contribute to the growth and success of a dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, examine, and maintain accurate financial records, statements, and reports.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of statutory returns.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports.
• Monitor cash flow and provide management with financial planning advice.
• Support decision-making by providing timely and insightful financial analysis.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and integrity of financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (Kenya) qualification.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the retail or service industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
• Excellent accuracy, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• High integrity, reliability, and ability to meet strict deadlines.
