Job Opportunity: Head of Sales

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Employment Type: Full-time

Our client, a reputable microfinance institution with a diverse product portfolio, is seeking a Head of Sales to spearhead its sales strategy, drive revenue growth, and lead a high-performance sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the financial services sector, strong business development skills, and the ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company’s sales strategy to achieve revenue and market share targets.

Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional performance.

Oversee sales operations for all financial products, including logbook loans, trade finance, and other lending solutions.

Identify new market opportunities and build strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Monitor sales metrics, prepare performance reports, and present to senior management.

Collaborate with marketing to design and implement effective promotional campaigns.

Ensure compliance with company policies, credit processes, and regulatory requirements.

Recruit, train, and retain top-performing sales professionals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree is an added advantage.

Minimum of 7 years’ sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role within microfinance, banking, or financial services.

Strong knowledge of lending products and market dynamics.

Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.

Proven ability to develop and execute winning sales strategies.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and customer focus.
