Portfolio Monitoring Officer – OYA Microcredit
Location: Nairobi

OYA Microcredit is seeking experienced and proactive Portfolio Monitoring Officers to manage client portfolios, ensure timely loan repayments, and support effective credit risk management.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor loan portfolios and assess potential default risks.
• Conduct follow-ups, calls, and field visits to recover debts and ensure timely repayments.
• Prepare weekly and monthly portfolio performance reports for management review.
• Evaluate product performance through repayment and collection data analysis.
• Provide accurate repayment schedules and ensure customer compliance.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients via calls, visits, and digital platforms (WhatsApp).
• Identify and report delinquent accounts while recommending recovery solutions.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field (mandatory).
• Proven experience in telecollections, loan recovery, or portfolio management.
• 2 years working experience in a bank or Microfinance Institution
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in using mobile and digital tools for monitoring clients.
• Self-driven with a results-oriented attitude.
