Job Opportunity: Insurance Intern – Operations

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Duration: 3–6 months (with possibility of extension)
Start Date: 25th August 2025
Compensation: Paid Internship

Our client, a dynamic and growth-oriented microfinance company, is seeking an Insurance Intern – Operations to join their Nairobi team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in insurance operations within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in processing insurance applications, renewals, and policy updates.
• Support client onboarding for insurance products and services.
• Maintain accurate insurance policy and claims records.
• Coordinate with underwriters, agents, and clients to resolve queries.
• Assist in claims documentation and follow-up processes.
• Provide administrative support to the insurance operations team.
• Contribute to process improvement and service efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree (completed or ongoing) in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional insurance certification (AIIK or ongoing) will be an added advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and data management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
